Saturday 21st September is International Coastal Clean Up Day. SeaWorld Orlando are sending a team of volunteers and their family's to clear rubbish from the nearby seashore at Canaveral to Celebrate International Coastal Cleanup 2013.

SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment have supported Ocean Conservancy for a number of years on the International Coastal Clean Up Day and together, with volunteers around the globe have cleared millions of pounds of rubbish from coastlines lakes and rivers.

Butterflies in Orlando Florida

Early fall and spring is a good time to see butterflies and as a butterfly called the Zebra Longwing is one of Florida's State symbol's, I thought it would be an idea to find where you can see butterflies in Orlando.

The Hard Rock Hotel at the Universal Resort has a butterfly garden to escape the hustle and bustle of the parks.

Epcot's Flower and Garden Festival at Walt Disney World held annually in Spring

Harry P. Leu Gardens about 35 minutes drive from Kissimmee.

Lukas Nursery, which houses a large variety of native butterflies, and an avery of exotic birds and garden plants to buy which attract butterflies into you own garden. Loukas nursery is about 45 minutes from Kissimmee.

 The Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World Florida is getting into the Fall spirit this week for a 'Limited Time Magic Event.'  The 'Young Citizens of Main Street Show' which will be a seasonal showcase of color, music, dancing and costume, daily 9:15am, 10:10am and 12:00pm. Going right down the middle of Main Street U.S.A!  Starting at Caseys Corner along  to the Town Hall.

If you like classic cars, bikes and trucks and are visiting the Orlando area I suggest you take a trip to Old Town Kissimmee because each week Wednesday through to Sunday an evening 'cruise' is held. The information I found was that the current events are Wednesday Night Cruise- In,Thursday Bike Night, Friday Night Cruise, Saturday Night Cruise and Sunday Old Town Gone Country. (events may change)

Vehicles are displayed and admired, music is played, people meet and greet and the whole atmosphere is electric!

Star Gazers can view the Sky at the Crosby Observatory at the Orlando Science Center.

Until August 17th 2013 the Observatory at the Science Center Orlando is open for night sky viewing on Fridays and Saturdays at 7pm.

Kennedy Space Center Florida, Showcasing Shuttle Atlantis.

At the Kennedy Space Center in Florida a new exhibit is being opened on Saturday 29th June 2013, to signalise the achievements that The Space Shuttle Program has made, showcasing 'Atlantis' which was retired in 2011.

The Atlantis attraction is housed in a 90,000 square foot complex with high tech, state-of-the-art presentations and guests will have the opportunity to have a close up view of the craft.

Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is open daily from 9.00-5.00pm and is well worth a visit not only for the Space Shuttle but for the other exhibitions and presentations on NASA'S accomplishments in space flight.

Walt Disney World Orlando Independence Day Celebrations 2013.

Fathers Day at DownTown Disney, Orlando.

I've seen a lot about the Downtown Disney Car Show that will be taking place this week-end at 'Downtown Disney' there will be lots of classic, outstanding and dynamic cars to view, with an award ceremony for the best car. Disney-Pixar's film 'Cars' will be heavily featured in the activities for the week end. Also available will be Car Masters Merchandise and plenty of souvenirs to buy, mix with auto personalities and there will be a lot of photo opportunities.
